DESCRIPTION
This research project studies the role of my own artistic identity when coaching musical design processes with children in the non-formal music education. Starting from that artistic identity I interact with them, resonate with their musical learning process, in order to interpret and optimize that learning process on the one hand and learn about my own artistic identity on the other. The own artistic identity is thus applied as a ‘sounding board’ and can be divided in four dimensions: (1) culture educator, (2) musician, (3) reflective practitioner and (4) beginning professional. The research design combines a practice-based research with a literature review. The practice-based research connects action research with a self-study.
